As part of its remit to develop information, advice and guidance for partners and employers, SELLLN has created a number of specialist publications available free. The ‘introductory guide to vocational qualifications’ for Health and Social Care employers explains qualifications from level 1 through to level 8. The booklet includes a separate poster which shows vocational and academic qualifications side by side. |

Since the 2006 Leitch report recommended that the UK become a world leader in skills by 2020, employer engagement has been placed high on the agenda of most HE and FE providers. Subsequently the wealth of research and reports into this area has highlighted the need for more flexible training provision, innovative approaches to curriculum development and clearer lines of communication between employers and training providers. |
