SELLLN Development Projects Seminar

SELLLN will be holding a second Development Projects Seminar, on Tuesday 19 May 2009, 10:00 – 13:00 (Registration from 9.30 am). The aim of this event is to showcase projects funded by SELLLN, share ideas, and to look at the potential for partners to learn from what has been achieved so far.

Presentations from SELLLN First Year Conference

Keynote speakers were Deian Hopkin, Vice-Chancellor, London South Bank University and London Skills and Employment Board; Gareth Smith, Deputy Head of PODIUM (London 2012) and Kevin Whitston, Head of Widening Participation, HEFCE.

SELLLN Second Year Conference

The SELLLN Second Year Conference was attended by over 90 people from 39 different organisations who have a stake or interest in SELLLN. The delegates included education practitioners from our partner institutions, members of sector skills councils, employers and many other organisations who are active in post-compulsory education.

Partner institution students celebrate Obama inauguration

On 20th January 2009 the Student Performance team at Lambeth College attended and contributed to a special programme that celebrated the inauguration of Barack Obama.  It provided students with an opportunity to engage in a meaningful debate about their futures and to actively mark the significance of the historic day.
